19th September - Half day Workshop at The Studio

1:00 - 4:00 £5 entry.  Working on precut kits for Ohio Star and Rail Fence Blocks,  9 kits hold enough fabric for a quilt top, including borders.  There are at least two, perhaps three full "sets" to choose from.  The new stitchers at York managed to do their blocks in just 2 hours, so lets see if we can match that!  6 Machines available, please prebook to avoid disappointment.  Remember to bring along your Kente African fabric blocks from last workshop.

24th October - Fun day at The Studio

Raffle prize draw and other fun activities.  Details to follow. see the Gallery for a picture of the main prize, Irish Charms.  Other prize pictures to follow. As we are getting near Christmas, we'll hopefully do one or two little Christmas ideas that can be given as gifts to a friend, or just yourself!  Please bring a friend, bring a little home baking (enough for 4) and some fun!  Door fee for whole day is £5, free entry if you just come at 3:00 to see the raffle being drawn.

28th November - half day workshop at The Studio

1:00 - 4:00 £5 entry.  This might be a scrap day, a block day, or just a fun day - who knows!  Bring along your most outrageous fabric, you know, the one that you don't know why you bought it!  Mixed with others outrageous, we'll see what we come up with!

30th January - whole day workshop at The Studio

1:00 - 4:00 £10 entry (please note increased door fees!).  Something to help us look forward to Spring and Summer I think - bring along crisp white, gingham blues, greens and pinks if you have them.  Also, scrap shirts in pastels, or soft grown up colours, summer flower prints, and any sheets or sheeting you aren't going to use (new ones please).  We'll do some quilt as you go, with our crisp picnic look on one side, and our soft lazy summer days on the other.

27th March - Half day workshop at The Studio

1:00 - 4:00 £5 entry -  a UFO to FO day!  Bring along anything currently an Unfinished Object, to make it closer to a Finished Object!  Especially anything started in one of the workshops over the year, and not quite there yet.  If you are a finisher already, help a friend, work on Bertha, or work on scrap projects.  If we do a quilt on Bertha in the precedding weeks, we might keep the binding for today, for anyone who really has nothing at all on the books.  We're hoping to have applied for and received a lottery grant sufficient to buy a kit cutting machine by this point in the year, so we'll be asking for help testing kits, before we sell them as fundraisers.
