Who can join Comfort Quilts?

EVERYONE – The more the merrier, whether you can knit stitch or have other skills to offer, we want to spread the word about the group, and have lots of people come along to meetings and workshops, even if only to have a chat and see what goes on.

I can't stitch!

We will do our level best to get everyone involved in doing creative works, and if stitching isn’t for you, there are loads of other activities that can be useful to the group. 

You may not want to learn stitching, but we will try very hard to get you hooked. 

Most regions will have a local group you can join to further your new skills, and we are always on the end of the phone, or maybe even close enough for a coffee if you get stuck. 

We produce small kits to do just a small part of a quilt, if you feel you can't manage a quilt on your own. 

If you can make something else, that can be used for fund raising.  We use thank you cards a lot to acknowledge donations of quilts and materials, and even having those made and donated keeps our profile up and our costs down. 

Perhaps you have other skills that would be useful - can you talk to people?  Would you be prepared to shake a can? Bake a cake? Organise an event?  Everyone has a skill, and no-one can do everything themselves.  Even passing the word to friends and family and seeing places where the quilts could be used is important. 

We hope to produce small kits for sale as a way of raising funds - are you a designer, or could you pack kits?  Every little bit of support is incredibly important to us, so please don't be shy, get in touch!
